Greg Fetzer

University College London

I am an Assistant Professor at the UCL School of Management. I study how individuals and groups develop creative ideas and how they construct a sense of meaning and purpose in their work. I am particularly interested in the temporal dynamics (e.g. creativity over the career) and the tensions which arise as people pursue meaningful work and develop new ideas. I have explored these questions across a variety of occupations, including designers, artists, craftspeople, accountants, scientists, and professional athletes. My research is primarily qualitative and field-based. I was previously on the faculty at the University of Liverpool, after completing my PhD at Boston College.
