University of Liverpool Management School
I am an Assistant Professor (Senior Lecturer) at the University of Liverpool Management School. I study how individuals and groups develop creative ideas and how they construct a sense of meaning and purpose in their work. I am particularly interested in the temporal dynamics (e.g. creativity over the career) and the tensions (e.g. value conflicts) which arise as people seek meaningful work and try to develop new ideas. I have explored these questions across a variety of occupations, including designers, craftspeople, accountants, scientists, and professional athletes. My research is primarily qualitative and field-based, focused on exploring puzzles and developing new theory.
